Travelling to the Netherlands - Update Tuesday 2nd March

Please be informed of the latest requirements for entry into the Netherlands, issued by the Dutch national authorities:

1.    A valid negative PCR-Test, not older than 72 hours before expected arrival in the Netherlands

2.    A negative Rapid test, no older than 4 hours prior to aircraft boarding

3.    A Health Declaration form for all passengers aged 13 years or older, travelling to and from the Netherlands.

To check the latest official information from the Dutch authorities, please click here. In addition, please be informed that non-compliance with points 1, 2 and 3. above, will result in boarding being denied.

Update: As from the 3rd of March, the mandatory COVID-19 rapid-tests are no longer required for passengers that are able to present a negative RT-PCR test result, not older than 12 hours prior to departure.

For passengers who are travelling to any other destinations via a connection flight, we would also encourage your kind self to ensure that all segments of your flight itinerary are still operating.

In order to facilitate your travel journey, Air Malta has arranged for private rapid testing facilities, which will be available at the airport prior to flight departure.

Pre-booking price: €50, inclusive of VAT

Walk-in price: €55, inclusive of VAT

Start Time: 04:00hrs
End Time: 06:00hrs

The rapid test takes a maximum of three minutes to administer, whilst the result is then issued within fifteen minutes.

As a result of the above, web check-in services for flights to Amsterdam have been temporarily suspended. Passengers are requested to present themselves at the airport two and a half hours prior to flight departure, in order to avoid any flight disruptions. You may check-in at the airport, at no additional charge.
