Air Malta Issues Rescue Fare for Cobalt Air Stranded Passengers

Air Malta has issued a rescue fare for stranded Cobalt Air passengers. The Cypriot carrier has cancelled all its flights and indefinitely suspended operations, advising customers not to go to the airport.

The Euro50 fare per sector on the airline’s flights to Zurich, London, Paris, Dusseldorf, Moscow and Tel Aviv to/from Malta. Price excludes taxes and charges. Tickets are offered on Stand By / Availability basis.

These fares are being offered following a request from the Cypriot Civil Aviation Authority who has asked IATA airlines to activate a voluntary commitment (rescue fares) in order to help repatriate Cobalt passengers stranded in Europe, Russia and in the Middle East.

Bookings can be made through Air Malta’s call centre on +356 21662211 from today till the end of this month with travel open until the end of November.
