Valletta Living History

Relive Valletta’s history with your family.

This baroque city is bustling with energy and excitement as people roam its many cafes, museums and shops, but there is so much more to it than that! Every street corner in Valletta has a long history – with some dating back to WWII, and others going back 500 years, at least. So before you start your journey in Valletta, we recommend a visit to Valletta Living History. There’s no better way to explore Valletta than to fully immerse yourself in its story.

Valletta Living History is a 30-minute feature that showcases Valletta’s history through a narrative, as opposed to a blow-by-blow account of the capital’s history. This family-friendly film takes its audience on a journey through time, starting from Valletta’s first settlers, to its construction in the 15th Century and the Second World War. The feature will enlighten you and your family about Valletta’s development as Malta’s capital, its culture, and its history.

Valletta Living History is shown daily throughout the morning and afternoon, and it is available in the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Japanese.

Tickets can be booked by calling: +356 2122 2225 or via email. Valletta Living History also offers special rates for children and families.
