What is the show concept?
The bespoke live show, entitled VITORI, has been created exclusively for Malta. The original performance will mark the 40th anniversary of the Mediterranean Conference Centre in the capital city of Valletta. The full cast of VITORI, a team of professional acrobatics, are guaranteed to take your breath away with their slick choreography.
VITORI concept sees a cast of characters inspired by the pieces from a game of chess. Two teams will battle it out head to head on a massive chessboard, ready to fight until the bitter end. But when the golden King falls in love with the black Rook from the enemy side, he puts everything on the line to edge closer to his sweetheart, leaving his unsuspecting subjects in sheer chaos!
When can I catch the show?
You can catch VITORI throughout November 27th until December 20th. Tickets can be purchased online (from maltashows.com or ticketarena.com.mt/tickets/) or from the box office at the entrance of Valletta City Gate.
Speaking at a press conference, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre earlier this year, MTA Chairman Gavin Gulia said Cirque du Soleil would be performing shows daily from Tuesday to Sunday, with two shows per day on the weekends.
“We are honoured that Cirque du Soleil is coming to Malta and hope that it will go a long way in enhancing the reputation of the Maltese islands, but also the MTA in the production and importation of events. The MTA has focused heavily on events and hopes to see Cirque du Soleil become one of its foremost flagships,” Gulia said. He added that the MTA hoped that the brand would bring more visibility to Malta.
If you’re on your holidays in Malta this November or December, this is one show you won’t want to miss. The city is awash with a buzz of excitement for Cirque du Soleil, hotels and restaurants are expecting a surge in bookings. Will you be there? Book your flights to Malta now!
