For the 10th year in a row, the Malta Arts Festival will be showcasing a variety of the finest cultural performances in the world. Be it Shakespearean drama, magnificent visual installations or spectacular dance choreographies, the Malta Arts Festival has it all. Apart from bringing international talent to Malta, the festival also strives to support local growth and provide Maltese with a chance to showcase their art. This festival, taking place from the 8th to 18th July, brings different nationalities, cultures, minds and opinions together for one common cause, the love for art. It aims to display the freedom of expression in a variety of artistic forms.
The events will be held at a number of Malta’s most prestigious locations,namely; Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Argotti Gardens, Fort St. Elmo, and last but not least, the marvellous Valletta City Gate. Apart from the numerous performances during this time, workshops and master classes will also be held.
En Chordias and Constantinople,two of the most respected ensembles of Mediterranean musical tradition, will be joining forces to recreate a class act tribute of the one and only Marco Polo.
Malta will also be introducing “the Odyssey”, a collaborative project that has been performed to over 12 million people. The project was set on the ship “Hoppet” which sailed in the Baltic two years ago. It aims to constantly adapt to different artistic landscapes throughout Europe.
