Air Malta is proud to support the 34U Campaign, an initiative by the Ministry for Rural Affairs and the Environment, giving people the opportunity to make a difference in local afforestation projects. The 34U Campaign enables you to commemorate an important event, remember a loved one, give an original gift, or simply adopt a tree for yourself. The tree will be identified by a wooden tag attached to, bearing either your name as the donator or a short dedication. You will also be given a commemorative photo of the planting event, usually done during the planting seasons in early Spring and Autumn/Winter.

A long history of human habitation on the Maltese islands had the unfortunate impact of reducing the extent of vegetation cover and natural habitat. Over the centuries, large tracts of woodland were cleared to make way for agricultural and other forms of land development. 34U is reversing this trend. With afforestation sites at Ta’ Qali National Park, Mellieha, Salina, Xrobb l-Ghagin and Ghajn Tuffieha, 34U has since 2005 planted over 90,000 trees. And with more areas being earmarked for this initiative, this number is constantly growing.

Now is the time to celebrate by planting a personal tree. Choose from 34Love, 34Babies, 34Gifts, 34Life, 34Clean Air or simply 34U.
