Getting There
Our travel network hub, the Malta International Airport (MIA) is easy to get to from anywhere on the Island.
By car
If you’re using your own transport, MIA is conveniently located along a main throughway between the villages of Luqa and Gudja. Simply following the road signs to Valletta, the capital city will put you less than 5 minutes away from the airport, which offers a convenient car park for all driving patrons.
Public Transport
Public Transport in Malta is operated by Arriva Malta. There are four airport express services, X1, X2, X3 and X4. These routes make it easier for you to get directly to and from the airport. The service is provided by fully air-conditioned, articulated (bendy) buses with additional luggage space and room for passengers. There are also other routes servicing nearby villages via the hub at the airport. For more information, kindly refer to the Information booth within the Welcomers’ Hall or log on to Arriva’s website.
Taxi Service
Taxi service is available 24 hours a day to and from Malta International Airport to any destination in Malta. Fixed rates are applicable and pre-paid tickets can be purchased from the ticket booth inside the Welcomers' Hall on Arrivals.
Airport Transfers
Transfers are typically arranged separately with your hotel or travel agent and are provided by private companies. We are currently working on offering this type of service for booking on airmalta.com
