Checked-in Baggage
Passengers, both adults and children, travelling on Air Malta flights in Economy Class are allowed 20 kgs free checked-in baggage weight. Passengers, both adults and children, travelling in Club Class are allowed 30 kgs baggage weight.
We allow 10 kgs baggage weight for an Infant travelling with us.

Air Malta permits the pooling of Baggage between passengers travelling on the same routing to the same final destination.

Hand Baggage
Each passenger is allowed to carry 1 piece of hand baggage. The dimensions should not exceed 18 cms x 45 cms x 50 cms and it should not weigh more than 5 kgs.

Sports Baggage
A passenger carrying sports-related equipment is granted 15 kgs extra baggage allowance free of charge if the sport practiced causes one to carry heavy equipment e.g. diving, tennis, skiing.
Those passengers carrying a bicycle receive an additional 20kgs of free Baggage allowance. The bicycle should be contained in a protective box or bag. Bicycle pedals must be removed or fixed inwards and handlebars must be fixed sideways. The tyres may be deflated to reduce risk of damage.
Golf Clubs are carried free of charge.
Any excess weight over these allowances will be charged at the applicable rate at the time of check-in. Kindly note that one will be asked to verify the equipment at check-in so this should be easily accessible in the luggage.
