Spa Treatment Malta
Around this time last year our coffee machine broke down. It could not have come at a better time. I ran down to one of the many electronics stores and bought a brand new one (much better than the previous one we had), wrapped it up and presented it to my wife as a birthday present a few days later. I was in her good books for quite a while.
This year I have had no such luck and have been racking my brain for gift ideas. Looking around our apartment is offering no inspiration at all, and then, as if a light bulb had gone off in my head, I decided to start exploring weekend breaks away. Why not? She deserves a treat.
So Paris? Rome? A Caribbean cruise? All sound great; however it is difficult to tear myself away from this island at this time of year. Every morning we wake up to glorious sunshine, bright blue skies and sizzling temperatures. With various luxury hotels to choose from both in Malta & Gozo, being a tourist in Malta is really quite an appealing thought.
This leads me to where I am now. I’m trying to decide on the various hotel/spa packages that are available on the Maltese islands. To say that we're spoilt for choice is an understatement. I know my wife would enjoy that, and secretly a treatment or two for me would not be a bad thing!
The first place I came across was Le Méridien St Julian’s Hotel and Spa. Designed in a contemporary Balinese style, the Lotus Spa offers a variety of body treatments, massage techniques and other rejuvenating delights for us to enjoy. With various packages available for spa treatments as well as room-offers, I knew I was onto a winning idea.
Next, a recommendation from a friend, Myoka 5 Senses at the Hilton Hotel Malta. Designed to stimulate all your senses its experiences combine a luxurious blend of exotic cultures, traditions and techniques from around the world including Bali, Tibet, Polynesia, Japan, Morocco and Thailand. With an extensive Spa treatment menu, I was pleased with the amount of choice.
Looking a little further out I started researching spa breaks in Gozo and immediately came across the Kempinski Hotel. Situated within a tranquil setting and surrounded by lush landscape the Kempinski Spa offers an experience that is inspired by the change of seasons, combined with a distinctive European flair, oriental Hammam experiences and authentic Indian Ayurveda. The Kempinski Spa Discovery package offers two nights full accommodation with full buffet breakfast, a 30 minute back and neck massage and a further discount on any further treatments.
Finally, I came across the Fortina Spa resort. An adult only resort (except Christmas and Easter). It offers the Worlds’ first Therapeutic Spa Bedrooms, as well as the first Wellness Rejuvenation Rooms in Europe. In the Spa Bedrooms there is a therapeutic bath with seven different treatments available, steam showers designed for two, a derma life machine for body detoxification therapy and a private spa for two situated behind the king size bed. Should we wish any further treatments, the Wellness Rejuvenation area offers beauty treatments, specialised treatments, a Physiotherapy Clinic, Chinese medicine and a range of other treatments.
