Family Fun at the Ta' Qali Petting Farm

Malta with kids Family Fun at the Ta' Qali Petting Farm

Visit Ta Qali' Petting Farm to meet the friendliest farm animals around!

If you’re looking for a guaranteed day of fun out in the sun with the kids, look no further than the Ta’ Qali Petting Farm. This petting farm is home to over 20 types of animals, not to mention the numerous species and breeds of rabbits, goats and birds.

At this large petting farm parents and kids will find each animal grouped by type and breed. The Aviary holds a number of colourful birds, ranging from parakeets, budgies, zebra finches and cockatiels. Over fifty types of rabbits are housed in a dual view burrow-style casing, where visitors can see the rabbits relaxing in a wider section of the casing, while the emulated burrow shows the rabbits in their resting state.

There are also large animals on site, including an emu, a llama, a pheasant and helmeted guinea fowl.  There are a number of food dispensers dotted around the farm to give kids the opportunity to feed their favourite animals. If farm animals don’t impress you, there’s also a pond that’s home to swans, pochards and ducks, as well as a butterfly house on the farm.

This petting farm is no one trick pony, and also includes a toddlers’ area, a cycling track and a skate park. The Ta’ Qali Petting Farm is open from 6.30am to 7.30pm in winter and up to 8.30pm in summer. Entrance is free.
